The Spoiler-free home of the Battlestar Galactica intro podcast
Aww that means you did "Tigh me up, Tigh me down" already. I wanted to send feed back for that ep. Now I'm going to have to wait ages to see if you guys featured it.
Hey what was the feedback? I'm curious! Thanks for the comment I mentioned your feedback in our "Flesh and Bone" cast that should be in the feed soon!
Sorry I've taken so long to reply to you mel. For some reason I'm not getting any reply notices when people reply to me on blogspot. So I didn't even know you did until just now. In regard to "Tigh me up, Tigh me down" I like the episode, but I always find it strange to watch. Up until that point the tone of the show had been very serious. So to have an episode based in a comedic tone feels a little odd; especially seeing as how they never really have such an episode again. For me I just like to think of it as brief lapse into the twilight zone for the show. Most of my other comments for the ep are pretty general, so you guys probably went through them. However one aspect that I have to highlight is of course Ellen Tigh. Ellen Tigh, Ellen "fraked half the colonies" Tigh... What can be said about Ellen Tigh... She's... Ellen. I mean I really don't know what to say in regard to her. When she wants to be she can be a raging bitch on wheels and I always felt bad for Saul, he really didn't deserve the way she treated him. However despite all of that, I actually kind of like her. Her relationship with Colonial Tigh is actually pretty interesting. I mean despite Ellen's treatment of him, she really and truly does love him; it's just a very different type of love. And again despite her more negative attributes, she does have some good ones. They're just buried really, really deep. All in all I liked it and thought some of the comedy scenes were actually well done.
Great Feedback! We actually recorded for the finale on Wednesday and were able to get this feedback recorded so it will be edited into the episode :).
